Pallet stops come in many sizes and shapes and can be referred to as backstops, pallet stops, pallet load stops or flue space protectors. The function of the pallet stop is to prevent the pallet from being loaded or pushed too far that it would hang out the back of the rack causing a very serious safety risk.

Pallet stops are attached at the rear of the pallet bay. A beam attachment spans the full width of the bay and is attached a few inches above the rear beam. Alternatively, single piece pallet stop accessories are attached on the rear beam and centered with the pallet bay to stop and hold the rear pallet.

In back to back rack configurations, pallet stops are ideal to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations that require the flue area between the two rack systems remain clear from overhanging pallets or inventory.
